High School Tennis Coach Arrested for Having Sex With Teen

Santa Barbara High School’s assistant girl’s tennis coach, Peter Jeschke, 34, was arrested Friday for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a high school student. According to a statement by the Santa Barbara Police Department, the victim-who is 16 years old-told her friends about the encounters, who in turn told the school. The school then called the police.

Police investigated Jeschke for a week before arresting him on Friday, when he was found to be in possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license, in addition to having an outstanding warrant from Los Angeles. Police said that more information will be available on Monday morning.
