One Arrest Made in Goleta Bank Robbery Investigation

Sheriff Working With Los Angeles Police Department

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department detectives working with officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division Robbery Unit have made an arrested in connection with the Nov. 29 robbery of the Hollister Avenue Rabobank. A statement today from Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department spokesman Alex Tipolt announced that after having obtained a warrant for three separate locations in the greater Los Angeles area, officers arrested 19-year-old Christopher Turner on charges of robbery, conspiracy, and theft of a vehicle. Turner is being held on $1 million bail.

Tipolt noted that a second suspect, an unnamed 16-year-old, was not found at any of the locations police searched. A third, unidentified suspect has so far also eluded authorities. Anybody with information leading to the arrest of these men who allegedly robbed the Goleta bank should call the Sheriff’s criminal investigations division at (805) 681-4150.
