Vote for the Outsider


Bob Noel, the last truly independent Santa Barbara School Board member left, is now being termed out. Education-system backed people have been the majority on the school board for several years now, and I have watched as just about anything the superintendent wants is granted, to the detriment of students, families, and the taxpayers. If the school-affiliated candidates now running for the Santa Barbara School Board win the two seats now open, in my opinion, there will then be no independent oversight of the school district left whatsoever. It cannot be more clear that this will not be in the best interests of our children or our community. Please join me in voting for Loren Mason, who can provide an outsider’s point of view and bring some much-needed accountability to our schools.
