Get Your Doggie’s Picture Taken with Santa

What could be cuter than a holiday card with a picture of a child sitting on Santa’s lap? How about a dog sitting on Santa’s lap? Some may chuckle at the idea, but to many it makes perfect sense, as dogs are like kids to lots of folks. This weekend, Santa Barbarans can trot their canine(s) over to the Canary Hotel for a snap-and-greet with ol’ Kris Kringle. For the bipeds there will be hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and holiday treats. A photographer will be there to capture the moment, but feel free to take your own pictures as well. Representatives of DAWG will also be there with several of their adoptable pooches. The event is free; all donations go to DAWG. Sat., Dec. 8-Sun., Dec. 9, 2-4 pm, Canary Hotel, 31 W. Carrillo St. For more info, call (805) 884-0300, or visit facebook.com/canaryhotel.
