who cares why Thyne got pulled over, he obviously needs a refresher course in politician 101. Rule number one, lie, lie, deny, deny. "no officer, I've not had anything to drink tonight, what you smell is my cologne" So to Numbskull or whatever your handle is.... I love your comment that you would vote for this weasel just because "the cops screwed him" Are you a fellow member of Thyne's AA group?

Gee twinkie, don't sugar coat this, tell us how you really feel! Ever heard of the 1st amendment? If you think this barrier is a good idea instead of the lame idea that it really is then gather your friends and family and have a bake sale so you can raise the necessary money to get it done. That $1.5 million can be put to better use.

most functioning alcoholics when confronted with their sins say that they will stop drinking, do you really believe this guy? Besides, with his money I'm sure he can have his campaign manager and/or publicist turn this into a positive for him and people will vote for Thyne anyway. Voters get what they deserve anyway, W. was a testament to that. Big money fixes all problems, and if I was running against him I would hammer him about this until the cows come home. If people want to kill themselves, they will kill themselves. You can't save the world Joni even though you want to. That money could be better used on people that want to live. BTW, just how many people take the plunge from the bridge every year, is it really such a financial drain on the county? Yes, I'm a cold hearted SOB but I can live with myself just fine thank you.

good idea sa1, and I'd like to add something else. Let's add a $2 per serving tax on coffee at places like Starbucks and other establishments, I don't drink coffee so it wouldn't effect me either. Whatcha think?

doesn't the Independent staff proof read their stories? For example you might have noticed that the first paragraph of this story is repeated verbatim on the second paragraph. Just thought I'd help you guys out.

a message to John McCain: Johnny ..... why do you keep acting like a loser? A real man can see just how stupid this whole situation is and would act in an appropriate manner. Hey, wait a minute.....you're a full time loser, I forgot that, boy, is my face red!
