Tammy, your plan is all about fluff.
You are paid over $225k per year to 'administer' those 462 children. That is more than double what the statewide average for elementary school Superintendants (source
MUS is a one school 'district' that spends over $10,000,000 per year derived from Montecito taxpayers and a bit of local fundraising. Out of that budget you spend over $1,000,000 on 'administration', for what exactly?
It would be much cheaper to have the kids lunches catered by the San Ysidro Ranch or the Biltmore Hotel on a daily basis than build an expensive cafeteria. Yes, MUS needs some maintenance and perhaps you could save some money by converting all the lights to LED's but the cafeteria idea is a boondoggle.
Perhaps cutting some of the bloated salaries of all the 'administrators' would free up some funds for maintenance but increasing the property taxes from less than $1 to $12 per $100k is not going to be very attractive to the voters.

Some pretty cheap shots taken at Galen here from people who didn't know him or grow up in Cito.
How about you put aside your agenda and have a little respect for someone who has passed away instead of making Galen's many friends feel even worse.
Proud to have grown up in Cito and no, I didn't have a trust fund.

So the dredger is supposed to use an electric motor to dredge the sand so that all the diesel and gas engined boats can use the harbor? And the electric motor use is required because of 'air quality' issues? STOOPID reasoning.

If you really want to 'take responsibility' then plead guilty and accept the very long prison sentence that you deserve for killing a person and then trying to escape.

It's very nice to read about local filmmakers rather than endless fawning articles about Hollywood stars.
