Seems to me the Sheriff's Dept is running amok. This story of releasing evidence, the feud with the fire chopper units, the missing video in Armijo case are just recent issues this week, and the other probems in the past. The Indy has been on these stories and so has other media. Seems time the Sheriff stop using his mouthpiece and answer questions directly. Things just arent adding up when you are constantly having to deny, deny, deny. Where is the Grand Jury? Or the Attorney General's office to look into all this.

Reporting on rumors? Is that good journalism? Fact, the feds didn't close the bank! Fact, you have no knowledge from the feds that they are even planning to do that. Fact, the Independent has had some sloppy journalistic style lately.Fact, keep it up and you'll be closed down. Think of the damage you can do reporting fact and having people make a run on the bank for no reason. Shame!

They are too blame. The article is full of holes, the people they used as sources weren't even sure who it was ("could have even been firefighters, good grief), and from what I've heard the writer got confused on who he needed to talk to and got the wrong people and also didnt leave voicemails. Can't anyone ever admit just doing a poor job anymore.

Lesson: Don't send an INTERN to do a real reporter's job. Be hopeful they don't slap a lawsuit on you. Horrible reporting.PS: you can't even get the date right, today is the 10th, not the 11th like it says at top of your webpage
