what's funny is that in the pic in this article there is an old guy resting, someone playing guitar. That's a pretty rare pic. Usually it's overflowing with 20-something bums sneaking hits off their hash pipes.
The problem is not bench art. The problem is bums. Old, young. They are everywhere and in plain sight. We use to have that dingy open area across from Palm Park to hide them. Or campers. They don't go away, they just keep moving.
Now they can only hide in plain sight and the problem is ugly. Ever go to Manhattan Beach? No bums there. How do they do it? I don't know but it'd be neat to find out.

This makes no sense. If I do something that I know is dangerous and hurt myself, why is it someone else's responsibility to pay for my bills?
To say that every inch of road in the entire county should 100% suitable for cyclists is unrealistic.
Just ride a mountain bike. You'd have squashed that slime no problem.

This is a sad story. People will lump this into the greater concern of the number of homeless people dying in SB county.
Have we ever stopped to think that we seem to have a disproportionately high number of homeless in this town compared to other California beach cities. Go to Manhattan beach and you might see one homeless person. Our beaches and State street, our prime tourist areas have homeless people every step of the way.
Cabrillo softball park is absolutely disgusting because of homeless people. We need to crack down and follow the lead of other cities by forcing them to leave.
