Art and its role in education often take a backseat to fields
like science and ecology, but this spring, art will get a little
more academic. The first annual State of the Arts conference will
be held May 19 and 20 at UCSB. All are welcome to come and discuss
art programs currently underway at UCSB, as well as the importance
