So You Think You Can Dance?

The Fusion Dance Company to Hold Open Audition

Seriously passionate young dancers in Santa Barbara should throw on their pointe shoes, do a few stretches, and leap on down to an open audition for The Fusion Dance Company. The group is looking for apprentices, ages 12 and up and experienced young adult dancers, ages 18 and up. It’s a golden opportunity for dancers of all genres who are looking to improve their artistic skills and show their stuff in live shows.

Fusion Dancer

As their name implies, The Fusion Dance Company melds different styles of dance into its performances. A background in jazz, modern dance, ballet, and hip-hop is a must-have. The company is also a tight-knit support group of artists who care about improving themselves, bringing some entertainment to the community, and training the next generation of fusion dancers. But it’s not all pirouettes and roses – these dancers balance school and work to pursue what they love.

Auditions will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Montecito School of Ballet – the company’s home base. Dancers should bring jazz shoes, tennis shoes, knee pads, and wear comfortable clothes that showoff his or her physique. For more info, call Kara Stewart at 805-252-3753 or e-mail
