Simple Kid’s SK2: Known as the Irish Beck, Simple Kid-nee Kieran McFeely, from Cork, Ireland-sounds at times a bit too much like his L.A. look-alike. But on his second release, Simple Kid shows he’s the real deal, employing lo-fi, eight-track recording methods and post-recording, hi-fi mojo to deliver groovy tunes. Already loved across the pond, he’s hoping this release gets him some Yankee love-and it should.
