Closely watched by the Homeland Security Agency, the US Environmental Protection Agency is using Cincinnatti, Ohio as its first testing site for water-contamination detecting software. developed by Goleta-based Frontier Technology. The software is able to detect minute amounts of contamination instantly, though it is not yet able to identify the contaminant.
