Common Sense Music

Thu Nov 08, 2007 | 06:00am

On Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10, at 8 p.m., Santa Barbara’s Robin Cox Ensemble will be performing with the Common Sense Composers’ Collective, a San Francisco/New York City group that’s been dedicated to expanding music-making for the past dozen years. The evenings will feature eight new compositions that combine the violin, clarinet, cello, and drums with electronics, text, and video, and the performers will interact with the audience as the show goes on. Presented by Iridian Arts, it goes down at the Contemporary Arts Forum, so see sbcaf.org, iridianarts.com, robincoxensemble.com, or commonsense.org for more info.
