Kiwanis Club of S.B. Will Host Pancake Breakfast; Downtown Art Show and Benefit to Raise Funds for At-Risk Youth Programs

• The Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara, known for supporting various youth and community service programs in town, will host a fundraising pancake breakfast this Saturday, August 8. If you want to help support the cause (or you’re just hungry for pancakes), stop by Alameda Park (Santa Barbara and Sola sts.) between 7 a.m.-noon. Tickets are $7. Call 966-9778.

• A healthy sampling of musicians will perform for attendees of Andi Garcia’s Hazardous Heartz Art Show this weekend, an event that will raise scholarship funds for the new Heart2Hand Class, a county-sponsored program geared toward at-risk youth. The event is at Whiskey Richard’s (435 State St.) on Thursday, July 30, from 7-10 p.m.; a $3 minimum donation is requested. Call 963-1786.
