Eucalyptus Hill Reverse 911 Test on Saturday, April 24

Emergency System Informs Residents During Potential Natural Disasters

Sat Apr 24, 2010 | 06:00am

The Reverse 911 Alert System — a program put on by the City of Santa Barbara Office of Emergency Services, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, and the Eucalyptus Hill Improvement Association — will send out a test emergency notification message today, April 24, to Eucalyptus Hill residents. The test works by sending out recorded phone messages to Santa Barbara County residents potentially affected by natural disasters like wildfires or floods. Although the Reverse 911 system is voluntary, Santa Barbara County citizens are encouraged to sign up here in order to receive updates via phone or email; contact information will be kept safely and only used for emergency services.
