BOXING DAY
The S.B. chapter of Health Care for All is seeking local artists to create a work for itsannual fundraiser, “Outside the Box.” Participants are asked to submit a handmade or decorated box no bigger than 12”x12”x12”. Works are due on Saturday, September 25, and will be auctioned off on Thursday, October 14. Call 682-5183.
FLYING HIGH
Last week, the Santa Barbara Airport unveiled a new mural titled “Postcards of Travel” in itsairline terminal area. The 80-foot painting was conceptualized and created by a number of Santa Barbara youths by way of the Santa Barbara Arts Alliance branch of the city’s Parks & Recreation Department.
