Money for Nothing

After reviewing the City of Santa Barbara’s employee salaries online, I thought the citizens of this perfect town might like to know how much it is costing them for the designers of the much-hated bulb-outs and traffic calmers. Counting a minimum of eight employees who would be part of the traffic department, their salaries alone would add up to $580,000 each year. At the extreme minimum. This is not counting years of service, pay hikes, overtimes, and the many benefits that are normally not seen on the outside world. Do we really need that much money being spent each and every year? By the way, there are 403 “positions” with the city. The webmaster alone makes $80,000 plus, but that is a whole other department.
