Double-Standard Etiquette

The writer of last week’s column “Gay Girl Takes on Bullying” appears to endorse, and encourage gays to make, unwelcomed, unsolicited, unacceptable remarks to straights. What if the parties were different, say a straight man and a straight woman? This would then be harassment.

This shows that there is a different, politically acceptable standard promulgated by the LGBT community, for conduct and civility (or lack thereof). I have seen the same [indulgence] in the past for other “minorities.” The situation becomes even more unacceptable when it is in a school, supposedly protecting all.
