Supreme Callousness

Thirty-two fellow human beings lost their live through highly preventable circumstances last year and someone thought it would be cute to use “Shiver Me Timbers” as the headline? This is supreme callousness heaped on a group of humans with already unheard voices. I wonder, if a member of Nick Welsh’s family had been found among those 32 casualties, would the title have read the same? The article is well written and addresses pressing issues in our community. However, the chosen title does not reflect the grave and disturbing news it contains. Why is that?
