Association of College and Research Libraries honors SBCC with National Award

The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) presented the 2011 national award for excellence in the community college category to Santa Barbara City College’s Luria Library. Santa Barbara City College’s Luria Library hosted a special ceremony and reception on Thursday, April 14, in recognition of being named the national winner in the community college category for the Association of College and Research Library’s (ACRL) 2011 Excellence in Academic Libraries Award competition, Titled “Explore, Learn, Grow and Celebrate!”, the event was held at the library patio. SBCC administrators and students made special remarks and Library Director Kenley Neufeld accepted a $3,000 award check from ACRL representatives.
