The Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum (653 Paseo Nuevo) has selected five artists for its annual Call For Entries show. These mixed-media masters have created a show offering many perspectives into a variety of modern issues. PUMP IT UP

Pumpflix stations began offering more than just gas starting July 18. UCSB and Pumpflix are collaborating on a unique project in which 10 gas stations throughout the county will show videos made by 14 S.B.-area artists. The films were crafted to be site-specific, with each station showing a video that speaks to a unique part of S.B. Visit vimeo.com/album/1645880 for more.

AROUND THE WORLD

Photographer and UCSB alum Hutch Axilrod journeyed to Kathmandu, Nepal; Rishikesh, India; and the Valley of Flowers in the Himalayas to explore what it means to be alive.
