The remodel has begun on what will be Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn. The Nichols brothers anticipate an opening in early fall as they redesign the interior and finalize menus inspired by the cooking that their fans have enjoyed for sixteen years in Santa Barbara County. Additional developments and progress on the new venture will be announced on Brothers Restaurant website, Facebook and Twitter feeds.

“We’re super excited. This is going to be our new home for Brothers Restaurant. We’ve had our eye on this space for some time as an ideal location for us. And, we have an ongoing commitment to our community and preserving its history. We are proud to be part of the Red Barn and Santa Ynez and hope that our neighbors will be pleased with our efforts.” said Matt Nichols.

Influenced by the Iowan family gardens of their youth, Matt and Jeff Nichols have cooked for over a half million people since the beginning of Brothers Restaurant in 1996. Their first cookbook of their guests’ favorite dishes, Brothers Cuisine, Recipes from Santa Barbara, California Wine Country, published in December 2010 and available for purchase at the restaurant or on their website
