Two mayors, one Indy: During a recent trip to Kotor, Montenegro — one of Santa Barbara’s six official sister cities — Mayor Helene Schneider took a copy of The Santa Barbara Independent along to read during the 26 hours of travel it took to get there. “Kotor is an amazing, beautiful place,” said Schneider, who is pictured here with its mayor, Marija Maja Ćatović. “People should visit it now before what we think will be a huge tourism boom takes over the area.
