Pull to the Right and Sit Tight

Tue Sep 11, 2012 | 11:20am

When you hear sirens or see red lights, pull to the right side of the road and stop. Failureto do so can cause serious accidents or delays for emergency vehicles arriving at thescene of an emergency.

Every seconds counts!

If you find yourself behind an emergency vehicle, stay at least 300 feet behind them incase of a sudden stop. If you are pedestrian, stay out of the street and keep children close by.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department reminds you when you hear sirens or see redlights “pull to the right and sit tight.”
