Not-So-Hallowed Eve

I am feeling perturbed after being turned away from the World of Magic at Camino Real for having a baby stroller. As the mother of six children between the ages of 16 and 21 months, I spend a significant amount of money on Halloween costumes every year.

Today, following soccer games at Girsh Park, I decided to take my children to purchase costumes. As we approached the store’s open doors, a security guard stepped out and informed me that the store has a “no strollers” policy, and we could not enter with our stroller. I told him I was not willing to carry two young babies around the store while trying to keep two other children, ages nine and six, in line.

When I asked what they do about people in wheelchairs, he informed me that the same policy applied. This is discrimination, and I plan to inform everyone I know of their policies.
