PAGE YOUTH CENTER ROARS BACK TO THE 20’S – ALL FOR THE KIDS!

Fri Apr 18, 2014 | 02:12pm

The Page Youth Center recently ROARED back to the 1920’s with its GREAT GATSBY GALA which featured over 250 devoted PYC patrons dressed as flappers and well- heeled mobsters. A great time was had by all as the Brawlin’ Betties skated cocktails to their tables and patrons rocked out to the tunes of Area 51 Band.

The purpose of this roaring gala was to fundraise for this worthy organization and to acknowledge the exceptional coaches who volunteer for the Page Youth Center. Prior to the event parents had been asked to cast their ballots for the coaches who most exemplified the values of great sportsmanship and leadership for our PYC youth. Coaches Gerardo Gil, Juan Villaruel and Scott Webber received the most votes for their exceptional coaching and were honored during the gala with ceremonial plaques and testimonies from the parents.

he Page Youth Center has been providing sports programs for local youth since 1984 and now serves over 2,200 children a year. No child is ever turned away for the inability to pay and events like the Great Gatsby Gala provide funding for the ever increasing need for scholarships.
