Hospice of Santa Barbara offers free grief counseling year-round to anybody, but at this time of year they have a waiting list. When someone is grieving the loss of a loved one, the wildly diverse range of emotions they feel during the holiday season can be crippling. Hospice’s 29th annual “Light Up A Life” public tree lighting ceremonies are a way for one and all to come and quietly honor those who have died. The event is a fundraiser, and all proceeds come solely from donations.
