On September 29, passengers aboard an Island Packers tour boat headed back to the Ventura Harbor after a day on Santa Cruz Island were witness to a rare and gruesome sight: three, full-grown great white sharks — accompanied by around 12 blue sharks — feeding on a Minke whale carcass floating in the Santa Barbara Channel.
