On this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall is joined first by Jerry Roberts, Indy state politics correspondent and author of the paper’s Capitol Letters column. Colin and Jerry discuss the developments in the governor’s race, what’s interesting to watch in the United States Senate seat battle between Barbara Boxer and Carly Fiorina, and Jerry’s upcoming panel discussion at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History on whether and how California is really governable.

Then, arts reporter Elizabeth Schwyzer drops by the studio to talk about what’s been happening in Santa Barbara dance and visual arts, and what she’s especially looking forward to in the coming season. Music this time comes from bands like Jared Mees and the Grown Children, Frankie Rose and the Outs, and Y La Bamba. They’re all scheduled to play live in Santa Barbara, and their cuts were organized by Poodle Radio music producer and Indy associate arts editor Aly Comingore. You can tune into Poodle Radio live every Tuesday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
