Betty Ellen Dilkey

Betty Ellen Dilkey was born on March 15, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away peacefully at home in Citrus Heights, CA on September 15, 2015. Her parents were Joseph Francis LaBarge and Hallie Hortense Triplett LaBarge. As an infant her family moved to Santa Barbara where Betty grew up with her four older brothers. Betty attended local schools and graduated from Santa Barbara Business College.

Betty excelled as a homemaker. She was proficient in gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved animals and doted on her pets.

Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Glenn Dilkey of Citrus Heights, four children; Cheryl Day White (Charles) Sunnyvale; Dale Gehr (Nancy) Scottsdale, AZ; Bonnie Dilkey Gusman, Citrus Heights and Michael T. Dilkey (Nancy) Auburn. She leaves six grandchildren; Kerri Gehr Maxwell (Sam); Kristi Gehr; Amy White Foy (Steven); Bryan Gusman (Jessica); Michael Ryan Dilkey (Kim) and Jamison Dilkey; ten great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Donna LaBarge and life-long friend, Ken Morgan.

A Graveside service will be held at Goleta Cemetery on Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 am.
