Loren Lewis Ingraham of Santa Barbara, CA and Washington DC passed away suddenly and quite unexpectedly on November 16, 2020.

Loren was born in Altoona, PA to L. Howard and Lacey M. (Clifford) Lewis.

Ms. Ingraham graduated from Altoona High School in 1942 and from Penn State in 1945, and was a Registered Professional Engineer in the branch of Mechanical. After employment at several smaller companies, she was a Senior Engineer at General Electric’s Jet Engine Department and retired as Senior Systems Engineer at North American/Rockwell International Aerospace Division. She was a member of PHI BETA KAPPA, PHI KAPPA PHI and other honorary societies.

Loren retired to Santa Barbara where she lived independently and on her own terms. Her interests and hobbies were varied and included photography, music from opera to rock, current events, the natural world, museums, gardens, sports cars and architecture. Loren was humble, gracious, and generous, supporting several charitable organizations and worthy causes.

Following cremation Loren will be interred at Rosehill Cemetery in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Due to disruptions caused by COVID-19, the service will take place at a later date.
