Description: Schott took a position as a teacher at CCS soon after it was founded and has been an essential part of the CCS Literature Program ever since. Meanwhile, he has written and published four books of narrative prose: Up Where I Used to Live, Murphy’s Romance, Ben, and Keeping Warm: Essays and Stories. According to Robyn Bell, Keeping Warm is “the work of a world-class writer at the height of his powers." He will read from an essay on how he learned to write.
