Song for Baby

Santa Barbara’s Sandman Records, along with BabySteps magazine, is having its first Lullaby Writing Contest. Open to anyone, the winner will have his/her song professionally recorded to CD. You have from now until December 31 to submit your original song for consideration. Songs will be judged on the lyrics, composition, and melody, not the quality of the musical presentation. Submit a cassette, CD, or MP3 file of an original song and a typed lyric sheet to: BabySteps Lullaby Writing Contest c/o iVillage Parenting Network, Inc., 500 Seventh Ave., 14th Floor, New York, NY, 10018. Songs may not exceed five minutes. For more information and contest rules, contact Lanny Sherwin, 565-5524 or visit SandmanRecords@aol.com.
