Who said there’s no live music scene in Santa Barbara? We believe our region’s got a bounty of quality musicians, so at the end of September, The Indy is celebrating with an issue devoted to music and bands from Santa Barbara. So we want you, South Coast musicians, to send the following to or The Independent, Music Issue, 122 W. Figueroa St., Santa Barbara, CA, 93101. Drop-dead due date is Friday, September 7.

1) Name, members, and instruments in your band.

2) The style of music you play and who your influences are.

3) A brief bio, plus info on where you’ve played and where you’re going to play.

4) Your latest CD/EP/mixed tape.

5) Digital photographs.

6) Your best song and music video for us to post on
