Wine Sale

There was a time, just a few years ago, when you could head into the Wine Cask Summer Sale and walk out with a 1962 Burgundy at a bargain price. Although the glory days of the Wine Cask sale might be gone, it’s still a fine opportunity to stock up at a store with one of the best wine selections in the area, with discounts from 10-50 percent. Two-for-one is one of my favorite prices. This year, the sale is extended from just a weekend to a whole week-Monday, September 17, through Sunday, September 23-so there’s more time to figure out what you need to put away for winter (or later) drinking. Of course they’re not tipping their hand as to what will get the deep discounts, but it usually runs the gamut of their stock, so a person with any price range should be pleased.
