Celebrate UCSB and its accomplishments and reconnect with old friends, teammates, and professors with activities planned from Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27! All weekend long, enjoy campus and library tours, check out regional beer and wine tastings, the kids’ carnival, visit the brand-new Mosher Alumni House, and participate in or watch sports alumni compete against current players in soccer and water polo. Special lectures and department and Greek meetings are also scheduled.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the Walter Capps Vietnam War Class Reunion on Saturday from 1:30-3 p.m. at Hatlen Theatre. The course began in 1978, and has been regularly taught to 900 students, some on waiting lists, each year since. Richard Hecht of the department of religious studies took over the class in 1995 and will moderate the discussion featuring speakers and Walter Capps’s wife, Congressmember Lois Capps. Visit the UCSB Alumni Web site at ucsbalum.com for a complete schedule of the reunion activities.
