Forest Service Calls for Assistance in Finding Van

In an attempt to gain additional information concerning the cause of La Brea Fire, the Fire Investigation Team is asking for the public’s help. Investigators are seeking anyone who was in the area east of the city of Santa Maria on the afternoon of August 8, anyone who can provide information relating to a tan- or gold-colored 2004-2005 Chevy van seen on Sierra Madre Road on August 8, or anyone with information regarding the origin of the fire. Such individuals are asked to contact investigators at (805) 686-5074. They may remain anonymous if they wish.
