Monte Vista Elementary To Host Winter Boutique and Book Faire

December is looming over Santa Barbara, which means the holidays are almost here. If you’re in the giving spirit, grab the kids and start your holiday shopping at Monte Vista Elementary’s Winter Gift Boutique and Book Faire next week. On Saturday, December 5, the school (730 N. Hope Ave.) will host more than 30 local artisans, authors, and businesspeople who will offer handmade jewelry, children’s toys, books of all genres, kid’s clothing, adult fashion, home decor, and more. Most items will be priced between $5-$20, and proceeds will benefit Monte Vista’s computer, art, music, and P.E. programs. If all this isn’t enough to keep your holiday spirits up, children’s music group Hot Lava will be singing you and your kids’ favorite seasonal songs starting at 10 a.m. The Boutique will open at 9 a.m. and close at 1 p.m. Call 295-9379 for more info.
