Backyard Bounty Needs Volunteers; Massage Envy to Host Breast Cancer Fundraiser

• Backyard Bounty is a group that harvests area residents’ excess fresh fruit and vegetables, and donates them to the Foodbank of S.B. County. The organization is in need of volunteers; harvest sites change weekly. Email doug@foodbanksbc.org for more info.

• On Tuesday, September 14, stop by Massage Envy in Santa Barbara (3951 State St.) or Goleta (5748 Calle Real) for a soothing rub-down that’s part of Massage for the Cure—a national one-day event where $15 from every $49 hour-long session will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, which works to fight breast cancer. All massages require an appointment; call 681-5050 (S.B. center) or 683-5700 (Goleta center) for more info.
