CH-CH-CHANGES

The Santa Barbara Central and Eastside Branch libraries—including public meeting rooms—will be closed on Mondays beginning July 12. The closures come in conjunction with a decrease in the SBPL’s operating budget for the coming fiscal year. Meanwhile, the Goleta branch will remain open on Mondays from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Visit sbplibrary.org for info.

The Daughters of Zion Aerial Dance Company and Drama Dogs are currently looking for dancers for an upcoming flash mob performance in the streets of Santa Ynez, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 31. GAME ON

After a series of legal battles, the Ensemble has recently announced that they will be moving forward with their renovation and new lease with Victoria Hall Theater (33 W. Victoria St.). Construction on the 300-seat theater space is scheduled to begin in January 2011, and be completed some time in 2012. For info, visit ensembletheatre.com.
