MMJ LOVES AFS

As part of their ongoing commitment to environmental and social issues, Kentucky rockers My Morning Jacket will donate $1 from every ticket sold on their current tour to a nonprofit in that area. The Ventura Film Festival kicks off next Saturday, July 9, with a 50th-anniversary screening of West Side Story at the Majestic Ventura Theater. Featuring more than 200 films, the fest stretches through Monday, July 18, with screenings throughout the county. Visit venturafilmfestival.org.
