Sports Highlights: April 23-30

Westmont College’s track and field complex will be the site of the 2013 Golden State Athletic Conference Championships this Friday and Saturday (April 26-27). Arizona Christian, Biola, Concordia, The Master’s and Vanguard will compete along with the host Warriors. Field events start at 10 a.m. each day, and running events at 1 p.m.

College baseball during the week includes SBCC’s final two home games at Pershing Park, today (Tuesday, April 23) and Thursday, and UCSB hosting San Diego in a non-conference game Wednesday.

Tennis fans will head to Ojai this weekend for the 113th edition of the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament. It features players from college and high school ranks, as well as open divisions for amateur adults and junior players. Finals will be held at Libbey Park on Saturday and Sunday.

Runners and walkers can sign up for the Gaucho Gallop on Saturday and the Walk/Run for Mental Wellness on Sunday. The weekly Nite Moves swim/run will start on May 1.

JULY: 4 – Semana Nautica 15K, San Marcos High.
