The Cameras Are Coming

Riffing on comments about the ‘breaking news’ that Ryan Seacrest is coming to town with his camera crews.

“The cameras are coming!

The cameras are coming!”

Seacrest has landed,

The buzz is humming,

Supposedly candid

Cameras are coming.

“Oh god, how pathetic!

This concept smells septic!

This ‘real life TV

Won’t charm this skeptic!

It cannot be just me

Who finds this pathetic?”

“They want us to watch!

They want us to watch!

And, like it or not,

Train wrecks can’t be botched

And some like them a lot.

To ridicule, they’ll watch.”

“We will all be cartoons

Who are drawn like buffoons!”

Cameras are coming,

To film the baboons,

As the buzz starts humming,

Its entrancing tunes.
