Oprah Winfrey to Receive Film Fest’s Montecito Award


Actress, author, and pop culture powerhouse Oprah Winfrey will be presented with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Montecito Award this year, organizers announced this week. The award will pay tribute to her performance in Lee Daniels’ The Butler and recognize her overall acting career, which began in 1985 with The Color Purple. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival runs January 30 — February 9, 2014. For more info, visit sbfilmfestival.org.
