Responding to comments on marathon swims that weren’t planned or completed on whims.

Whether swimming into the tide

Against currents that most would ride,

Or way out into the Big Blue

Where non-stalkers cannot see you,

Swim to show the strength within,

Swim to persevere and win,

Swim like you’re going for broke

Swim, though some may mock each stroke,

Swim knowing the strongest tide

Can’t steal your dreams and make them hide.
