Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital’s 51st Annual Holiday Gala Raises $20,000 for Healthcare Services

Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital staff including Mary Puryear, RN; Gayle Mercado, RN, Clinical Manager Medical/Surgical Department; Wende Cappetta, Vice President; Martine Surey, Senior Administrative Assistant and June Martin, SYVCH Foundation Executive Director celebrated $20,000 raised during the evening.

The 51st Annual Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) Holiday Gala held on December 7, 2013, at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Buellton raised $20,000 to support the hospital’s healthcare services in the community. The event was jointly coordinated by the SYVCH Foundation, the SYVCH Auxiliary and SYVCH staff with all monies raised donated to the hospital.

Wende Cappetta, SYVCH Vice President stated, “We are so grateful for the generous support not only of the 260 people in attendance including donors, employees and Auxiliary members who bid on more than 100 silent auction items donated by generous local businesses; but also for the assistance we received from Union Bank staff who served as cashiers, and local vintners who donated the wine. We all enjoyed a gourmet dinner then danced to Sloane & The Smooth Tones live band. Funds raised at the Gala supports our mission of medical excellence close to home.” Additional sponsors of the event included Montecito Bank & Trust, Santa Ynez Valley Marriott Curtis Winery and Andrew Murray Vineyards.
