Old Town Tavern Badly Burned in Fire

The Old Town Tavern, or OTT as it’s known, will be closed for the foreseeable future after it badly burned at about 3:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The fire started in the back area behind the bar, county fire spokesperson Dave Zaniboni said, and heat and smoke spread throughout the bar. The fire was contained to the interior, though nearby residents were evacuated. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation; arson is not suspected. The OTT is known for being packed with college students on Wednesday evenings for “karaoke night.”
