Here is the wonderful and heart-wrenching article on Giselle Ayala from the Santa Rosa press democrat, with a link a facebook comments on her passing. Needless to say it doesn't portray SB in a very favorable light. As a parent to read this was just heartbreaking. As far as prohibition not the answer, sorry too late that train left the station Saturday.

How Terrible, I feel so sad for her family- they must be heartbroken that their beautiful young daughter came to SB for a fun weekend and is now gone from their life forever. It really doesn't matter what day Deltopia started; One young life is enough - SHUT IT DOWN NOW!!

I'm sure he's happy he doesn't have to spend another summer in Kern County and unlike Wallar he'll be glad to live in SB.

If a private contractor spilled chemicals like this there would be a huge outcry from all the government agencies. Multiple teams would descend upon the spill area with fines and civil suits and years of chemical monitering. But because it's Caltrans everything ok and cleaned up in 2 hours

“never an issue of wanting to leave SB but more of a desire to end my career in a larger and challenging organization.”
What she meant to say is her pension is based on her final salary.

I completely disagree, it''s not a blight it's actually the last remnant of old Santa Barbara. It's perfect the way it is, it's the one constant in the past 30 years that has been torn down and redone per some Bren School master plan. I shop and dine out there all the time and you know what you don't see - homeless begging for change. You know what's the real blight in Old Town: that ugly Hampton Inn. Leave Old Town alone Santa Barbara; You destroyed your town stay away from this one...

If you've seen how high the prices for classic 60"s VW buses have gone you wouldn't be laughing. You might find the owner and try to make him an offer...

How very sad that someone reached that point to end their life that way. I feel bad for his family.
