Well to be fair, a legislative ban on cycling on public streets and roads will soon be unnecesary. The current rate of attrition due to car on cyclist incidents is already a success and makes any such initiative moot.

I apologize for the potty mouth. While written in jest, my comment was also meant to draw attention to a serious health issue. I have a toddler and I didn't think the poo-poo word would trigger a comment removal for violation of use. Let me try that one more time in the spirit of the currently featured story, "Field Guide to Animal Tracks and Scat of California."
I wish Towbes would ban all of the raccoon "scat" on the grass in the common areas. It's awful watching the bunnies have to nibble around it.
I wish I could let little Disturber Jr. have fun on the grass, but it is loaded with raccoon scat, which not only carries the risk of rabies but also roundworm. Toddlers are especially vulnerable to this parasite, which can burrow into the eyes or brain, and cause blindness, convulsions and even death.
All of the grass in the common areas, including the playground is loaded with it. I do hope the Towbes group takes a closer look at this issue.

It's not a tax on income, and to characterize it as a tax is incorrect. It's FICA, which is a contribution (Federal Insurance Contributions Act) to the Social Security fund. It's also the only funding mechanism we have for Social Security, which is already underfunded. Not only would a payroll tax cut deplete the existing fund, but it reduces your contributions which lowers the amount of SS you are eligible to recieve.

Are you the same Michael Vandeman Ph.D who attacked some mountainbikers with a handsaw and was put on trial for assault, battery and vandalism? Later found guilty for battery and exhibiting a deadly weapon?

...he said mockingly. While succinct , that is neither constructive nor relevant to the story, sbsurfguy (anonymous profile). Gonna get your comment scrubbed...

That is so awesome! Way to respect the rights of free speech by demanding commenters posts be removed. In the same spirit I would ask that QuashNegativity's (anonymous profile) post be removed on the same grounds. Together we can protect free speech by eliminating it all together.
