One paragraph = a review. Sure, if you say so. More a LIKE than a review. Also---and I am being sincere when I say this---given the writing skills of the reviewer, I would not consider his recommends trustworthy whatsoever.

Yes, former poet laureate and all, yadayada.
Of the 5 who have so far served in this post, 3 can actually write.
Not bad if it were a baseball batting average.

But someone needs to say it. There has come to be in SB a spoken word culture that celebrates mediocrity. And there is plenty of it about. Which is why the club is closed, sealed, and dying of its own inbreeding.

With few exceptions, the Central Coast has devolved into a morass of mindless linebreaks masquerading as poetry, which is good for neither.
I would be specific, but I value online anonymity here just a bit more.

You mediocritists know who you are.
